Paris St Germain started their Champions League campaign by beating Juventus 2-1

Kylian Mbappe’s brilliant first-half double was just barely enough to earn PSG all three points as the Parisians staved off a second-half comeback effort from visiting Juventus in their Champions League group stage opener.

The Italian side was poor throughout the first 45 minutes, with Mbappe and Neymar breaching their defense on multiple occasions, and likewise unable to find a way through on Gianluigi Donnarumma’s goal. The introduction of Weston McKennie after the break, however, changed the game in Juve’s favor and sparked a second-half push.
